Since there are always at least two sides to any issue, an argument must be given as to why one position is better than another. You must carefully analyze the chosen writer’s perspective, argument, and presented information to determine possible strengths and weaknesses.

The writer must stay focused on the essay topic all the time.

A 5-paragraph essay is the basic kind, and it is the easiest in terms of structure.
