Lola BA Thanks this was really helpful but my teacher don’t even know what he’s doing so I’m a little screwed, I’m doing an investigation on an Ageing population in an area.Does it matter if I didn’t do any statistical tests Thanks this was really helpful but my teacher don’t even know what he’s doing so I’m a little screwed, I’m doing an investigation on an Ageing population in an area.
If it a low B with an A* in the exam, you might get an A.
In addition, you could try predicting the UMS yourself, and calculating it.
Then you can compare the overall scores to see if they're statistically significant.
***I haven't done much on ageing population so you should check with someone a bit more knowledgeable*** What are the rest of class doing about their coursework?
Good luck to everyone this summer If you really messed up, you could theoretically blow your chances of getting A* (if your aiming for that of course) before you even take any exams if you think about it.
There's no reason why you should mess up cw though at gcse..
0.8x 0.08 = 0.80 so x = 0.90 so the extra amount you will have to get in the exam is 10% based on this example.
Just goes to show, it's worth going into the exam with the coursework mark supporting you.
Following on from what other people have said, coursework is actually about 20% for most subjects. Say you get a D in the coursework about 8% for example.
Lets not get confused here, the coursework is worth 20%, so when I say 8% I mean 8% of the GCSE not of the coursework component.
