When checking drafts of a student’s work, you must not comment or provide suggestions on how they could improve it.
However, you can ask questions about the way they are approaching their work and you can highlight the requirements of the marking criteria.
To meet Ofqual's qualification and subject criteria: Students must have sufficient direct supervision to ensure that the work submitted can be confidently authenticated as their own.
This means that you must review the progress of the work during research, planning and throughout its production to see how it evolves.
- I know you're meant to do two texts, but since my poems are so short my teacher suggested that I do two poems and a novel.
So mine is on 'Since feeling is first' by cummings (one of my favourite poems), 'Wuthering Heights' (my favourite novel) and also 'The Flea' by Donne. So I had a big brainstorm type thing, and then an ordered plan. Just an outline of where the essay was going in each paragraph and what quotes to include.Collecting quotes really helped my ideas, actually. So an A from both pieces of coursework would be 52/60!We have worked closely with teachers and universities to develop relevant, engaging and up-to-date specifications that approach the study of literature through the lens of historicism. If a student receives any additional assistance which is acceptable within the further guidance that is provided for this specification, you should award a mark that represents the student’s unaided achievement. Please make a note of the support the student received on the Candidate record form. With the notes, I made a list of similar things (ie.main character traits, themes, attitudes) and a list of differences.- I got one from the internet (just googled and found a few good excerpts) and one from a book from the library.I don't know what grade I've got for this yet, though, so I'm just offering my opinion. I think it is 26/30 for A boundary per coursework, so they mark them seperate and then aggregate the scores to get one out of 60.
